HOW WE FELL IN LOVE WITH THESE WATERS AND WHY WE STAYED
Our story
SINCE 2018Our story began in 2018, when we opened Olive Goidhoo. The Goidhoo atoll is uniquely formed: one vast, oval-shaped reef around a huge inner lagoon, with surrounding waters rich in marine life and big pelagic species.
It was no surprise that travelling anglers and ocean lovers soon found us. Most importantly, they keep coming back. Since 2018 we have been running fishing, spearfishing, surfing, snorkeling and kiteboarding trips.
As the trips kept growing, we registered SALTRIPS as a travel agency in mid-2026 to give them a proper home.
Our crew
Led by owner and guide Jordy, with 18+ years on these waters, together with an experienced team of captains and crew.
How we fish
Sustainability is of utmost importance to us. We practise catch and release, strict waste management and refrain from targeting protected species in the Maldives. All efforts are made to reduce the impact of our activities on the environment.
